Department Custom Scope
Reporting directly to the Director of the Academic Personnel Services Unit (APSU), this position will provide daily management of the academic personnel actions in the College of Agricultural and Natural Sciences (CNAS) consisting of a highly complex complement of ladder rank, other senate, and non-senate academic faculty and other academic appointees. This position is part of the APSU unit which is responsible for all academic personnel-related activities within CNAS, including, but not limited to: faculty recruitment, appointment, and merit and promotion reviews and implementation of the Instructional Research (IR), Organized Research (OR) and/or Specialist in Cooperative Extension (CE) titles. |

Assists in the maintenance of the College's Academic Personnel System (ACAPERS) database to track all CNAS academic employees (e.g., tracking eligibility lists, merits and promotions, appointments, layoffs and reductions in time, and separations); manipulates database and creates detailed reports on request for information from a variety of customers. | 20 |
Responsible for the training of academic personnel assistants at the departmental level for all related senate and non-senate academic matters, including, but not limited to: coordination of the academic search process, processing of appointment and reappointment files, leaves and work eligibility (visa) requirements. | 10 |
