Department Custom Scope
The AAPI Data project at the University of California, Riverside seeks a strong AAPI Data Research Analyst to join their team. Working in close coordination with the deputy director, co-directors, senior researchers, and senior research analyst, the AAPI Data Research Analyst is responsible for conducting research and data analysis for a variety of projects and initiatives. The incumbent is expected to demonstrate excellent research, data management, and project management skills, and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines are required. Preference will be given to applicants with prior experience working on issues that impact the Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities. This position is eligible for hybrid or remote work.

Key Responsibilities

Description % Time
Gathers and analyzes research data; prepares and summarizes information and/or recommendations.
  • Coordinate all stages of the research process, from research design to quantitative and qualitative data collection, analysis, writing, editing, data visualization, and report production. Ensure that any research-related products meet the AAPI Data standard for quality and accuracy.

Maintains and develops research gathering, retrieval and reporting systems.
  • Conduct and manage research and data analysis for a variety of organizational projects and initiatives. Works in close coordination with the co-directors, senior researchers, staff of AAPI Data, as well as partners that include community organizations, research centers, government agencies, private philanthropy, and news organizations.

Plans studies, including the design of survey instruments and determining the sampling and reporting procedures.

Collaborates on the design, documentation, testing and implementation of research studies.
