Generic Scope

Custom Scope
Independently uses and applies wide-ranging experience and proficiency in training and development concepts on projects that typically have system-wide impact. Uses training and development concepts to resolve the most complex issues with system-wide impact. Works on most complex issues of strategic engagements with great political sensitivity, where analysis of circumstances and information requires an in-depth evaluation of factors. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Internal and external contacts often pertain to system plans and objectives. Is considered a subject matter expert and often recognized as an expert externally in the industry.

Department Custom Scope
Human Resources Employee and Organizational Development (EOD) programs provide UC Riverside employees with learning opportunities to enhance skills, improve effectiveness, develop leadership capability, increase employee engagement, and prepare for career mobility. The Director of EOD Programs works in partnership with stakeholders and the HR leadership team to plan initiatives and curriculum which align with organizational priorities. This position is responsible for the design and implementation of employee development programs, organizational development concepts and workshops, facilitation of leadership development classes and learning experiences, and partnering with selected vendors to roll out programs. This position has oversight of the learning management staff and system. The position serves as the lead to the EOD team and as an advisor to campus constituents on organizational development, change management and effectiveness strategies.

  • Will regularly guide organizational management at all levels with training and development advice and initiatives in support of campus-wide and system-wide teaching, learning and development outcomes. In coordination with Central HR Senior Leadership, will serve as primary lead on campus climate initiatives and employee engagement efforts.
