Department Custom Scope
Under the general supervision of the Campus Fire Marshal, the incumbent is responsible for performing professional duties related to fire and life safety, as part of a multi-disciplinary professional/technical staff. The Campus Fire Inspector ensures that the campus is in compliance with State codes and regulations applicable to fire safety buildings and equipment, including Titles 8, 9, 19, 24, et.al. of the California Code of Regulation. In addition, the incumbent will ensure compliance with applicable national standards related to fire safety including the National Fire Protection Association Standards. Performs required inspections of fire extinguishing systems on Campus, including but not limited to: Fire alarm systems, automatic fire sprinkler systems, hydrant systems, standpipe systems, fixed extinguishing systems, and fire protective signaling systems fire rated assemblies testing and inspection. |
