Department Custom Scope
Under the direction of the Assistant Dean and Chief Financial and Administrative Officer and in consultation with the Manager of Information Technology and the Director of External Engagement, the Information Systems Analyst supports IT services used by the faculty, staff, researchers and instructional programs and supplies technical expertise to meet the challenges of this increasingly dynamic environment. Responsibilities include support of IT services, including service delivery, server and desktop deployment and maintenance, and development of new technical solutions. The Information Systems Analyst remains current with developments in the field, supports established IT procedures and standards, helps implement work flow processes, and ensures consistent delivery of IT services. This position requires a combination of programming skills (PHP, HTML, CSS, JS, etc.) and aesthetics (understanding element arrangements on the screen, the color and font choices, and so on). Strong candidates will have a strong understanding of industry trends and content management systems. Experience with responsive and adaptive design is strongly preferred. In addition, an understanding of the entire web development process, including design, development and deployment, with some back-end knowledge, is preferred.�

Manages systems and services for a facility or portion of facility of small to moderate size. Evaluates, installs, modifies and supports operating systems, software, utilities and/or tools. Applies and maintains moderately complex security controls.
  • Researches software to meet organizational technology needs.

Designs, develops, modifies, debugs and evaluates moderately complex software and scripts. Designs and applies basic data sources. Employs source code control techniques. Tests software to ensure proper operation and conformance to test plans. Assists with moderately complex release management activities.
  • Web editing and coding support for School and research center websites (via Drupal 9 and Pantheon), as well as for Slate CRM

Manages existing spaces and resources and sets up SPP spaces with video conferencing technology capabilities. Assists with A/V at events and meetings, including setup of sounds systems and videography.

Designs and implements capture of metadata from technical processes such as software design and database management.

Advanced site-building experience including deep familiarity with Drupal modules such as CTools, Views, and Panels. Experience creating custom Drupal modules. Experience building responsive websites using Drupal CMS, HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3, and JavaScript/jQuery. Knowledge of PHP, PHP files and theme functions, and knowledge of the Drupal theme layer. Extremely fluent with HTML5/XHTML and CSS. Through understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (e.g. Requirements, Design, Development, Testing) and exposure to Agile or iterative SDLCs. Preferred
Experience working with PHP, JavaScript, and jQuery. Ability to write JavaScript with and without the use of frameworks such as jQuery Preferred
Experience designing and developing responsive design websites Preferred
