Custom Scope
Designs, produces and approves visual presentations, publications or communications for audiences that are either broad or highly influential using various creative methods. Requires subject matter expertise and an indepth understanding of the audience and visual communication strategies/methods. Work is of considerable difficulty and requires consultative skills for leading projects with clients. Functions as a lead within the department.

Department Custom Scope
Under the general supervision of the Assistant Dean, CHASS Marketing & Communications, and with input and feedback from the Office of the Dean, CHASS Development team, Student Academic Affairs, Department Chairs and faculty, the Multimedia Graphic Designer analyzes, creates, and executes all facets of comprehensive marketing and awareness campaigns, making recommendations to best serve the organization?s objectives and goals. Responsible for brand building and marketing/communication strategies to promote use and awareness of CHASS people, events, and program, assists in creating marketing and communications collateral to meet student enrollment and retention targets, and implements specific plans for fundraising and alumni relations programs and activities. Works closely with the Assistant Dean to expand CHASS efforts related to digital communication and creating/maintaining new databases for communication to internal/external CHASS audiences and other academic institutions. Primary responsibilities will include graphic design and printing, web design, email marketing, social media marketing, event program formatting and printing, and event calendaring. This is an advanced position that should provide innovative visual solutions as an industry leader in graphical/digital design. Will assess/rethink all CHASS websites, email, print, digital, social, and physical collateral. Provides graphic design support to the Assistant Dean, Director of Events, and Performing Arts Marketing Specialist. Specific media collateral to be produced will include writing and graphic design of all CHASS digital newsletters, websites, posters, flyers, event programs, brochures, management of all campus calendaring via Localist, and social media scheduling, posting, engagement, tracking and reporting. Candidates will be required to present a portfolio of the design work described above if called for an interview. Hours are typically Monday-Friday, 8am-5 pm, with occasional nights and weekends on/near campus as required for marketing/events support. This position is also hybrid remote with up to 3 days per week working remotely. Schedule may change depending on department needs.

Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training. Required
Master's degree (or comparable experience) in marketing, public affairs, communications, public relations, events management, or a related field from an accredited university or college. Preferred
