Position Information

UCR University Extension is the learner-centered continuing education division of the University of California, Riverside and offers a wide range of programs designed to meet the needs of local, regional and global students and employers.

Under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Academic Programs, the Credential Analyst is responsible for advising students on the full range of California Teaching Credentials (CTC) and authorizations offered by University Extension. The position is responsible for adhering to all CTC Accreditation standards, reporting, data collection, and other requirements. Responsible for the implementation of new academic programming and maintenance of continued programming. This is done by means of scheduling courses, screening and selection of instructors, and coordinating teaching agreement administration with academic services. Responsible for budget planning and enrollment forecasting on a quarterly basis. Additionally, this position functions as administrative support to instructors, and may act as a liaison with industry partners, the K-12 education community, and campus.

University Extension is a primarily remote working organization with staff who commute to campus for work as needed. Similarly, this remote position requires an incumbent with the ability to report for in-person work on campus as business needs dictate.

Thorough knowledge of department/school college policies, procedures, and requirements.
Abilities in problem identification, reasoning, ability to develop original ideas to solve problems.
Thorough knowledge of advising and counseling techniques. Knowledge of multiple majors, colleges, and schools.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of CTC accreditation review cycle.

Skill in budget planning and enrollment forecasting.

Thorough knowledge of college/school policies, procedures, and requirements.

Knowledge of CTC online systems and paper application process.
