Executive Assistant/Athletics Director and Sr. Management Team

Position Information

This position provides high-level support, scheduling, and coordination to the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics (AD) and the Senior Management team. The Executive Assistant is responsible for representing the Intercollegiate Athletics office in a professional manner to a variety of internal and external constituents, including other Directors, coaches, staff, students, community members, visitors, and the UC Office of the President. The incumbent has a thorough understanding of the AD's and senior management teams priorities and expectations, coordinates and prioritizes their schedules, and ensures that the AD is briefed and prepared for meetings and events. The incumbent also assists with communications and events sponsored by the Intercollegiate Athletics administration office. The position salary is commensurate with experience.

Minimum Requirements

Ability to use high-level discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Familiarity with the organization's processes, protocols and procedures.
Ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes.
Advising and counseling skills.
Strong skills to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, faculty, alumni/donors, students and external constituencies, both verbally and in writing.
Political acumen and sensitivities to the differing perspectives and political circumstances within all levels of the organization as well as the Office of the President and external constituencies.
Strong service orientation.
Knowledge of federal regulations such as FERPA.
Solid analytical/problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Thorough knowledge of common organization-specific and other computer application programs.
