Position Information

UCR's Office of Research Administration and Compliance (RAC) promotes the highest standards of research excellence and ensures compliance with federal and state regulations. This position is responsible for providing support and leadership to various research compliance areas covered by the ORI. The Conflict of Interest (COI) Coordinator will be responsible for providing support and leadership to the Conflict of Interest (COI) committee as well as providing back up support, as needed, to the Export Control Office and Dual Use Research of Concern (DURC). The COI Coordinator will serve as a resource to faculty and will ensure that federal and state laws, as well as UC policy, are applied correctly. The COI Coordinator will work closely with faculty to facilitate the ethical conduct of research. This position also interacts with a variety of campus and system-wide offices to facilitate the management, administration and conduct of research.

Some aspects of this position may be performed remotely. The budgeted pay scale for this position is from $68,500 up to $82,350. The salary offer will be commensurate with the final candidate's related education and experience.

Minimum Requirements

Ability to exercise good judgement in assessing risk level and contacting appropriate delegate during the review of research

Preferred Qualifications

Conflict of Interest: Understanding of stock options, consulting agreements and other corporate documents related to research and analysis of potential conflicts of interest.

Thorough knowledge and experience with quantitative and qualitative research design; scientific research concepts and terminology.
