Procurement Concierge Relations Manager

Position Information

The Procurement Concierge Relations Manager serves as a central resource reporting to the Assistant Controller and working closely with the Chief Procurement Officer to support the campus community with procurement activities and processes. The position liaisons with various campus partners to provide information, support, and problem resolution to achieve efficient and effective procurement processes and supports the procurement of good and services. The position creates, develops, and tracks metrics and Key Performance Indicators to streamline and validate improvements and/ or identify areas needing improvements as part of the procurement life cycle. Initially, this position will have an increased focus on the transition to the new procurement system of the Impact23 financial system implementation, in the calendar year of 2023. The maximum budgeted salary amount for this position is up to $107,800.

Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training. Required
Advanced degree in a related field. Preferred

Experience using Oracle Cloud Financial Procurement to Pay module Preferred
6 - 10 years of related experience. Required

Must successfully pass a background check through the DOJ and FBI. Required

Minimum Requirements

Ability to perform cost analysis and planning for major commodities.
Knowledge of UC procurement policies, the organization's departments and operations and Federal Acquisition Regulations.
Advanced level of proficiency in the use of standard spreadsheet and word processing software.
Ability to communicate complex information to others verbally and in writing.
Full knowledge of the purchasing function.
Superior customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong negotiating skills.

Ability to read, interpret, develop, and negotiate terms and conditions of contracts.

Advanced skills in the use of ERP/financial systems (such as Oracle, PeopleSoft, SAP, etc.).

Knowledge of UC/UCR procurement policies.
