Total Compensation is a department within UCR Central Human Resources (Central HR). Central HR provides leadership and expertise to create and support a high performing, inclusive workplace which advance UCR's mission and strategic objectives. The Compensation & Classification Analyst will manage ongoing assignments of compensation and classification activities and be the main point of contact for consultations, reviews, and approvals of requests for a specific set of clients (colleges, schools, and/or administrative organizations). They will have the opportunity to engage in campus wide work groups, conducts complex data analyses to assess compensation issues, collaborate with the various UCR partners to refine and create streamlined business processes, and participate in UC systemwide compensation steering committee meetings.
The budgeted salary scale for this position is $76,000 - $108,000 annually with placement within it being based on the individual's qualifications as they relate to this position.

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with client groups and other areas of human resources and complete multiple assignments on time.
Strong interpersonal skills to interface with business units and other areas of human resources.
Comprehensive knowledge of the compensation functions as well as general knowledge of other areas of human resources.
Analytical skills to conduct analysis and develop recommendations as well as effective written and verbal communication skills to convey findings and recommendations clearly and concisely.
Knowledge to develop and implement compensation programs for client groups and understands how they and other initiatives may impact various areas of human resources.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize competing work assignments and meet deadlines.
Strong interpersonal skills to interface with business units and other areas of human resources.
Comprehensive knowledge of the compensation functions as well as general knowledge of other areas of human resources.
Analytical skills to conduct analysis and develop recommendations as well as effective written and verbal communication skills to convey findings and recommendations clearly and concisely.
