Department Custom Scope
Under the general supervision of BAS' Associate Vice Chancellor/Chief Financial and Administrative Officer (AVC/CFAO), the Organizational Excellence and Financial Analyst (OEFA) serves as an influential and highly productive member of the Organizational Excellence and Budget and Financial Management Teams in UCR's Office of the Vice Chancellor of Business and Administrative Services (BAS). BAS is one of the campus' largest organizational units, with 12 Divisions supporting 49 Departments, 912 staff and 975 student employees, and annual expenditures of $169 million (17.5% of UC Riverside's total annual expenditures). Divisions supported range from core funded administrative service units to auxiliary services, including Human Resources, Business and Financial Services, Enterprise Risk Management, Facilities Services, UC Police Department, Architects and Engineers, Housing and Dining Services, Transportation and Fleet Services, Mail and Shipping/Receiving, Printing and Reprographics, and Shared Services. The OEFA develops knowledge to serve as an expert with regard to leading practice methodologies and approaches identified as strategic priorities by the Campus in its strategic plan (UCR 2020) and in BAS' strategy. Serves as BAS' internal consultant and/or project lead on high priority Organizational Excellence driven projects and assignments of varying scope and complexity. Supports BAS units with the deployment/implementation of new methodologies and requirements. In completing assignments, works closely with and/or coordinates the activities of staff in the Office of the Vice Chancellor, as well as BAS division/department staff and external consultants. Serves as BAS' representative on Campus Organizational Excellence planning committees and workgroups. As part of the Budget and Financial Management Team, performs moderate to complex budgetary/financial analysis and reporting, performs reconciliations and develops/prepares reports. |
