Generic Scope
Provides direct supervision typically to professionals or skilled technical employees. Functions as advisor to unit and administration. Analyzes and resolves problems, interprets policies (e.g., fiscal management, HR, contracts and grants, resource management in defined areas) and demonstrates solid subject matter knowledge. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and policies to determine appropriate action. Supervises staff to assure accountability and stewardship of department resources (operational, financial, and human) in compliance with departmental goals and objectives. |

The School of Business at the University of California, Riverside is a nationally-ranked and internationally-recognized AACSB-accredited business school. With over 14,000 alumni all over the world, it is home to the largest undergraduate business program in the University of California system, as well as to the A. Gary Anderson Graduate School of Management, which features MBA, Ph.D., Flex MBA, Master of Professional Accountancy (MPAc), and Master of Finance (MFin) programs. The School is positioned as a center of excellence in business education through cutting-edge research on the business challenges of the 21st century. The Director of Graduate Admissions will be responsible for providing leadership to the Admissions department within the School of Business, including supervising a team of admissions and recruitment professionals. The Director of Graduate Admissions will develop, implement, and oversee administrative aspects relevant to graduate student recruitment, admission, and financial support. The Director will develop, implement, and evaluate a marketing and recruitment strategy for all graduate programs within the School of Business. Develop and monitor effectiveness of outreach programs and recommend continuing and/or shifting focus to other opportunities that might have greater yield of potential applicants. |
