Custom Scope
Provides a limited range of professional knowledge and strategies related to learning skills for students. Works independently on standard program presentation. May receive guidance from higher level Student Academic Specialists in adapting counseling to specific learning styles and linguistic issues.

Department Custom Scope
Coordinates the GradQuant program and space ensuring that programming and activities meet the needs of Graduate students and are within the scope of the directors' vision. Supervises graduate student support and professional staff, maintain records, and collaborates with other departments. Provides support to the GradSuccess team. A presentation will be required as part of the selection process.

Delivers professional academic programs to students that enhance academic success through a course-based format of service for a limited range of learning issues for a narrow field of study in an academic discipline (e.g., first-year course writing; a specific course like introductory biology in the sciences; pre-college calculus in math/science) Helps students in critical transition stages, including high school or community college to first year research university undergraduate course work; lower division to upper division; first semester issues; upper division course work to advanced research/capstone-level project; undergraduate to graduate-level academic preparation.

Administrative Coordination of the GradQuant Center: Maintains all daily functions of the GradQuant center. In conjunction of the Dean and Director, develops long and short-term goals for GradQuant; develops plans for achieving goals; maintains GradQuant website and social media pages; maintains records of student consultations and workshops; supervises resource development; maintains programming and staffing budget; manages summer bootcamp; ensure GradQuant space is being used effectively; manages staff; and reports qualitative and quantitative data regarding GradQuant usage and success.

Staff Management: Trains and advises staff regarding resource generation and individual consultations; participates in the hiring process of graduate students; supervises graduate student staff; maintains staff and consultation schedules using online appointment management software; assesses the efficacy of consultations, programming, and consultants; develops a comprehensive workshop schedule for the quarter; ensures that consultants resources are being effectively utilized.

Coordination of GradSuccess: Provide administrative and logistical support for GradSuccess programming: maintains confidential student data; helps to generate data regarding usage of GradSuccess resources; helps to report qualitative and quantitative analysis of GradSuccess programming; develops means by which to assess programming efficacy.

Administrative support of special projects: Periodically, the GradQuant Coordinator may be asked to provide additional support for specialty programming and projects. Such projects include but are not limited to: GradSlam, GradSuccess orientations, and recognition banquets.
