Department Custom Scope
This position plays a liaison role. Under general direction of the Constituent Management Technologies (CMT) manager of advancement services, the incumbent will meet & listen to customers (mainly, but not exclusively, in University Advancement), translate the needs of the customers back to the programmers, design & project manage to successful outcomes, and respond back to the customer. In addition, the incumbent will gather and negotiate project requirements, architect and design full scope of applications throughout application lifecycle, build, test, and gather feedback while negotiating solutions with stakeholders. Provides support and training on new applications.

Provides technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing complex systems and procedures. Creates complex specifications for systems to meet end-user requirements. Involved in developing complex user interface designs. Plans and executes unit integration and acceptance testing. Participates in cross-functional teams to address complex business or systems issues.

Gathers, analyzes, prepares and summarizes recommendations for approval of business process and procedural documentation. Recommends and implements changes in processes and procedures. Negotiates with stakeholders on the creation of specifications.

Gathers, analyzes, prepares and summarizes business and user needs, documenting requirements and revising existing system and process logic issues as necessary. Provides support and training on new applications. Guides and advises less-experienced Business Systems Analysts.

Serves as liaison between department and CMT technical staff to plan, design, and execute application or report needs. Communicates user needs to CMT to facilitate the development of reporting formats and queries that meet the needs of end users. Coordinates identification of reporting needs and works with CMT to implement reporting functionality to meet operational requirements. Monitors status of various projects simultaneously to completion and beyond.

Identifies data elements, tables, and input screens that facilitate tracking and implementing the processes identified. Develops implementation plans, including the identification of project milestones and completion dates. Maintains & updates plan/schedule as necessary.
