Department Custom Scope
Reporting to the Associate Chancellor, the Project Policy Analyst will provide a range of duties and functions for the Office of the Chancellor: including coordination of executive searches for direct reports to the Chancellor; policy review and analysis for Senior Management Group (SMG) members' compensation, outside professional activities, and periodic reviews; analyses of campus-wide personnel, financial, and student data for brief, well-written reports and campus communications; preparation of agenda items and materials for UC Board of Regents' meetings; organization and hosting of official campus visits; and other duties as assigned. Incumbent must be able to demonstrate a broad, team-oriented skill set, including the ability to effectively engage with staff and senior administrators; experience undertaking independent research to produce data-driven recommendations; aptitude for taking ownership and successfully implementing projects, with only general guidance from supervisor; a high level of discretion in handling confidential matters; and very strong oral and written communication skills.
