Department Custom Scope
UC Riverside is seeking an experienced digital content specialist to help grow and strengthen its integrated web presence and social media program. Reporting to the director of digital strategy, the digital content specialist will support UC Riverside's office of University Communications in University Advancement. University Communications is responsible for managing and stewarding UC Riverside's institutional brand and national reputation. The department produces award-winning multimedia content, publications, videos and social content. It provides a wide-range of consulting, writing/editing, video production, and graphic design services for colleges, centers, departments, and other campus partners. As a member of the University Communications multimedia team, the digital content specialist will work with the director of digital content, and the team of graphic designers, videographers, and writers to assess and enhance UC Riverside's digital strategy and social media communications program. They will assist in UC Riverside's transition to a responsive web-environment, and to implement a robust social media strategy. This position will be expected to write for the web, help assess goals, track analytics, relay industry best practices, produce quality content, assist in providing web content support for outside clients, support emergency/crisis communications, and actively collaborate with campus marketing colleagues.
