Department Custom Scope
The Communications Specialist will assist with the production, graphic design and layout for a variety of publications, printed collateral, visual media, presentations, web site applications and social media platforms. Will consult with clients as necessary to write and/or edit materials for a variety of publications for internal and external audiences. Assists with the production of articles, press releases, profiles, briefings, blogs, collateral and/or other written material for the School of Medicine.

Assists clients in the design and layout of a broad range of publication materials.
  • Under supervision, assists with production, graphic design and layout for a variety of publications, printed collateral, visual media, presentations, web site applications and social media platforms. Assists with production of articles, press releases, profiles, briefings, blogs, collateral and/or other written material for all media platforms. Under supervision, participates in the development and publication of web content within a responsive design content management system.

Under supervision, provides estimates on resource allocation, prioritization and timing for moderately complex production, exhibit and/or publications projects.

Provides research assistance and other support for publication development efforts.

Develops and maintains up-to-date records and resources with information on campaign projects, presentations and organizational facts relevant to publication needs.
