Department Custom Scope
The Behavioral Health Counselor provides direct clinical psychological service to the UCR campus. The primary responsibility of this position is to provide individual, couple, and group therapy to UCR students. This position provides crisis intervention services; consults with students, staff, and faculty; and serves on University committees. The Behavioral Health Counselor will also serve as a liaison to various campus communities. A successful applicant will demonstrate commitment to diversity and inclusion. Areas of particular interest/experience that would be preferred to service the following communities are preferred:LGBTQ+ communities and identities; African Diaspora; Asian and Pacific Islanders, and clinicians focused on Diversity and Inclusion. Counseling & Psychological Services is a Health and Psychological Student Services (HAPSS) department and supports student success through optimization of emotional and physical health, through direct service, education, and provision of resources and referrals. |

Expectation of availability after hours or on weekends to serve the occasional emergent needs of students and campus challenges/crises. | Required |
