| Establishes objectives and work plans, and delegates assignments to subordinate managers. Responsible for managing, preparing, administering, and directing resources. Reviews and approves recommendations for functional programs. Involved in developing, modifying and executing policies that affect immediate operation(s) and may also have campus-wide, medical center or Office of the President effect. Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve goals results in additional costs and personnel, and serious delays in overall schedules. |
Department Custom Scope
| As a member of the Information Technology Solutions (ITS) Leadership team, the Executive Director of Systems Engineering is responsible for the effective and efficient operational support of all third party and internally managed IT systems used to support campus IT services. The Executive Director of Systems Engineering provides leadership for the Systems Engineering, Systems Operations and Application Operations teams as well as the Lead Systems Architect. As a member of the ITS Leadership team, the role contributes to the development and execution of ITS strategy and ensures its alignment with the needs of the campus. The salary offer will be commensurate with experience within the budgeted range of $140,000 to $150,000. |
