Department Custom Scope
The UCR School of Medicine Pipeline Programs is seeking an experienced Health Coach Program Specialist to provide K-12, undergraduate, and postbaccalaureate students with opportunities to learn about and experience medicine, social determinants of health, health disparities, and service in medically underserved communities. The incumbent's primary responsibility is to coordinate the Health Coach Program, a joint program between the University of California, Riverside School of Medicine and Riverside University Health System (RUHS). As coordinator of the Health Coach Program (HCP), the incumbent is responsible for developing an annual outreach plan to recruit undergraduate student volunteers to serve as health coaches. The incumbent will assist Pipeline Programs students directly with educational program development and advising them on their community health education projects in Mini Medical School, Future Physician Leaders, Medical Leaders of Tomorrow, Premedical Postbaccalaureate Program and other SOM Pipeline Programs. *Please note that this is a 2 year career position with an anticipated end date of June 30, 2021, with the possibility of being extended, contingent upon available funding. |
