Department Custom Scope
The School of Business at the University of California, Riverside is a nationally-ranked and internationally-recognized AACSB-accredited business school. With over 14,000 alumni all over the world, it is home to the largest undergraduate business program in the University of California system, as well as to the A. Gary Anderson Graduate School of Management, which features MBA, Ph.D., Professional MBA, Master of Professional Accountancy (MPAc), and Master of Finance (MFin) programs. The School is positioned as a center of excellence in business education through cutting-edge research on the business challenges of the 21st century. The Graduate Programs Research uses advanced data techniques and organizational objectives to resolve complex issues related to School's student success initiatives. This position supports Schoolwide strategic planning and decision making through the analysis, presentation, and distribution of institutional research related data. This includes planning, analytical studies, and reporting on data related to students performance analysis to understand past, current and project performance of the Graduate, and Undergraduate Program Offices relating to recruitment, admissions, course demand and interest, internships, and employment; this incumbent will also work closely with the Marketing and Communication unit, and support the Dean in data collection and analysis. The incumbent will also analyze matriculation trends and issues, and will make suggestions for process improvements to all the programs. Also serve as the department subject matter expert for technical (CRM system), Banner and Salesforce, and system related issues concerning the student application process, electronic marketing and communications, and associated technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Description % Time
Researches, gathers, analyzes and summarizes information for research projects with a broad range of internal and external and/or current and historical information.
  • This includes collection and analysis of massive amounts of institutional data. Responsible for projects from beginning to end, including design, execution, and communication.

Designs and establishes systems that manage, store and retrieve data for analysis to answer ad hoc informational requests and tracking of students and faculty. Developing streamline process for different program units within the School fo Business to track data efficiently. Create ad hoc reports and data analysis using institutional, survey, and external data and trends, as needed.

Acts as School subject matter expert for technical and system-related issues concerning the application process, electronic marketing and communications, and associated technologies; including: Banner, TargetX, GradSIS, Salesforce, GradESS, and other school and campus systems.

Coordinate and gather data from several sources to fulfill survey requests from external constituents, including AACSB, US News and World Report, Princeton Review, BusinessWeek, etc.

Manage and analyze admissions, enrollment, demographic, and other pertinent data for academic programs office use.

Responsible for evaluating, compare, develop, and deploy program systems like TargetX, Salesforce etc, for the School's unit
