Custom Scope
Technical leader who provides labor relations guidance to all levels within the organization, utilizing specialized labor relations expertise within area of responsibility to resolve highly complex issues in creative and effective ways. Internal and external contacts often pertain to significant labor relations programs and objectives. Normally receives little direction on assignments. Serves in a lead capacity, providing guidance to other professionals in department.

Department Custom Scope
Under the direction of the Labor Relations Director, the Labor Relations Analyst 4 provides high level professional and analytical support to the campus in the areas of labor relations, contract administration, and other areas as assigned. The incumbent represents campus management in formal adversarial dispute resolution processes, coordinates the representation of campus management by University attorneys in the employment/labor relations related court cases, represents campus management in collective bargaining negotiations, advises campus management on compliance with the employment/labor relations laws and the University's collective bargaining agreements and advises campus management about labor unions and communicates with labor unions. This includes participating in system-wide bargaining teams, developing implementation procedures and training for new contracts and providing ongoing guidance and interpretation of contract language.
