Administers a small to mid-sized program with primary administrative and programmatic responsibility.
- Lead the non-technical portion of designing the Air Quality & Climate Research Training Program (ACT Program), a professional development program including: listening to major stakeholders on needs for various types of training (from short courses to master's degrees, in subject matters from management training to technical training), research other training programs to understand competition, and the assets of other similar programs, and work with UCR Extension and other appropriate academic departments to understand and move forward with various options on campus. Help identify and secure training, equipment, teaching space, etc. Coordinate production of promotional materials, such as videos of new lab capabilities, faculty areas of expertise keynote videos in support of program.
Assist with set up of consortia programs that will be run by the faculty and researchers. This assistance will consist of coordinating faculty and the development team and modifying the operational and business plan as needed to kick off the consortia. (A day to day consortia manager will subsequently be hired to carry the initiative forward.)

Works with program leadership to identify and pursue funding opportunities and revenue streams.
- Serves a strategic role in identifying and securing extramural funding that supports the mission of CE-CERT's special programs. Responsible for engaging with the CE-CERT faculty to source new contract and grant opportunities to stimulate additional research activity in support of CE-CERT's special programs.
Meet with various individuals (community colleges, UCR international office, etc.) to understand and reach potential additional markets, work with designers to develop appropriate marketing materials, and work with campus and others to determine and develop appropriate online material for portions of training.

Participates in the program budgeting and accounting processes to support financial infrastructure of program.
- Develop the program's budget and ensure that the program operates within the approved budget. Monitors and approves all budgeted program expenditures.

Assesses program's effectiveness, and recommends changes to program's content, policies and procedures accordingly.
- Researches and analyzes processes and procedures, content effectiveness, and summarizes findings in order to develop and/or implement changes and to provide consultative services to CE-CERT Directors, Researchers, partners and external stakeholders. Researches, monitors and analyzes regulations, legislation, research literature and UC policies for impact on the organization. Conducts post-implementation analysis to determine the need for further enhancements, finer distinctions and/or additional process/policy components.
