Department Custom Scope
The Licensing Officer will primarily be responsible for managing the commercialization of the engineering intellectual property (IP) portfolio. The Licensing Officer will focus on research, assessment, and marketing of UCR IP, negotiating technology transfer agreements, monitoring licensee performance and obligations, and engagement with faculty and students to support technology transfer and entrepreneurial activities on campus and commercialization of their inventions. The incumbent is expected to interact with internal and external stakeholders, including others on the Technology Commercialization and Technology Partnerships team, UCR faculty and students, entrepreneurs, and industry partners. The Licensing Officer should be a customer-service oriented professional with working knowledge and experience in technology transfer, the ability to communicate effectively and plan, organize, and prioritize assignments and work with guidance to complete assignments. This position will report to the Director of Technology Commercialization as part of the Office of Technology Partnerships within Research and Economic Development at the University of California, Riverside. |
