Generic Scope
| Provides direct supervision typically to professionals or skilled technical employees. Functions as advisor to unit and administration. Analyzes and resolves problems, interprets policies (e.g., fiscal management, HR, contracts and grants, resource management in defined areas) and demonstrates solid subject matter knowledge. Department Custom Scope
| As the Manger of Database Engineering reporting to the Associate Director of Systems Engineering and Operations this role will plan, design and implement new database services on Oracle and Microsoft Structured Query Language (MSSQL). The Manager of Database Engineering will also work with teams across the IT organization to re-architect and refactor existing database design. This position plays a key role in defining database backup strategy, data retention policies, and working on the enterprise disaster recovery plan for campus data. |
