Department Custom Scope
The Senior Director supports the chief advancement officer for the UC Riverside School of Medicine. The Senior Director helps to create and implement extensive programs of engagement between the campus and external constituencies; to encourage major and principal gift private philanthropy for the School of Medicine as well as foundation and corporate relations. The incumbent ensures the success of multiple fundraising projects and the achievement of campus objectives. |

The Senior Director will work strategically with the Executive Director to create and implement the advancement program for the UCR School of Medicine. This includes programs designed to engage individuals, corporations, and foundations in efforts to meet the priority needs of the School and to involve teams of campus leaders and volunteers. The Senior Director has the responsibility to ensure that all advancement activities are conducted in accordance with UC Riverside and University of California policies and procedures. The incumbent represents the School at campus-wide development activities and participates in campus-wide special advancement projects, campaigns, and policy initiatives. The Senior Director informs campus leaders on issues related to the School of Medicine advancement program; interpreting trends, new policies, and opportunities. From time to time, the Senior Director may serve on campus committees and workgroups. | 25 |
