Partners with various campus departments, including Campus Ethics and Compliance, Planning, Design & Construction, Capital Planning, Governmental and Community Relations, Human Resources, UC Police Department and others, to ensure effective campus organizational coordination and communication of programs and services. Ensures sustainability of unit operations, through effective oversight of unit budgeting, financial planning and decision support processes and activities. Prepares feasibility studies and proposals, to determine impact of initiatives, projects, and programs on short as well as long-term financial position. Develops and monitors operating plans that allow the unit to operate within budget and experience Increased efficiencies and cost savings. Establishes and monitors unit-wide performance objectives for services, resources, materials, costing, scheduling and operations. Develops performance goals and objectives for departments within the unit. Shares responsibility for oversight of Business Support Services staff and functions, which provides support not only to the Facilities unit but also to the Planning, Design & Construction unit, with the Assistant Vice Chancellor and Campus Architect.
