Department Custom Scope
Reporting to the Academic Director of Custom Programs, the Media Production Specialist supports distance learning formats with the sourcing, creation, and editing of visual assets; supports instructors in the production of educational video content; designs graphical templates for video production; and leads in defining the visual style of educational video content.

Key Responsibilities

Produces design and layout for a variety of web applications, as well as information architecture.
  • Key support in the video production process with an emphasis on post-production and the finalization process by editing course video segments, applying design templates and visual assets, and rendering final versions of course videos segments. Assist course instructors in formatting educational content based on design principles and templates. Support directors? lead in documentation of online short course production process and development of design document and course video design templates.

Meets and consults with clients on a variety of digital communications projects including moderately complex assignments; develops, presents, and recommends web content, site architecture and visual material.
  • Creation and/or sourcing of visual assets for educational content, including presentation templates, graphical elements, animation, and stock photos and footage.

Instructional design and development support for online short course offerings, including development of storyboards for course video segments and planning graphical design and layout.

Accountable for ensuring technical accuracy and understandability of web content.
