Department Custom Scope
Under the general direction of the Associate Vice Chancellor - Health, Well-being, and Safety (HWS), this position is responsible for overseeing the successful planning and execution of various short and long term projects on time and on budget to include program development, community outreach, process improvement, and strategic implementation. Working closely with various campus stakeholders, HWS and campus teams, coordinates multiple phases of project execution, evaluation, and community engagement. This position will have the critical task of informing the discussion around the development of Student Intervention and Response Unit (SIRU) on campus, specifically dealing with students in critical incidents that need a higher-level support [outside of law enforcement involvement]. Subsequently, this role will work closely with both Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) and UCR [on-campus] Police Department (UCPD). The incumbent will also be assigned tasks to ensure accreditation mandates are completed thoroughly and on-time (e.g., IACLEA), as well as state and UCOP reporting requirements. Works independently to successfully manage complex dynamics while maintaining a high level of professionalism, and the healthy engagement with a project team. Ability to successfully facilitate discussions, leading teams to make critical, well-informed, and timely decisions. Manages conflicts, disputes, and difficult issues arising from the user groups and planning meetings. Experience developing slide decks, research and evaluation, outreach plans, and professional email updates. Researches and drafts complex proposals, reports, briefings, executive summaries, and speeches. Establishes and maintains contacts internally and with external constituents for the collection and exchange of data.
  • Develop timelines for accredidation and reporting requirements for on-time delivery, lead RFP responses, create slide decks, coordinates and completes funding applications, and drafts professional email updates.
