Department Custom Scope
The Admissions Support Analyst will be responsible for a wide variety of responsibilities that support evaluation and operational functions of Undergraduate Admissions (UGA). Responsibilities include: 1) data entry into the Student Information System (Banner) and application processing; 2) transcript receipt, processing and scanning; 3) initiates recommendations for process improvement; 4) provides ongoing support and handles escalated service situations for the Highlander One Stop Shop (HOSS); 5) and assist with providing customer service coverage at the UGA front counter and Highlander One Stop Shop (HOSS) as needed.

Minimum of 4 years of related work experience and/or related education Required
Experience using Banner, BDM, Cognos, eTrans, Parchment, and Slate. Preferred
Experience working with a large data base for data entry operations. Required

Demonstrated experience adapting to changing priorities, high volumes of work, and multiple deadlines; ability to independently assess and strategize how to resolve problems with available resources. Required

Enter transferable college coursework into Banner as evaluated by admissions counselors. Identify and route validation errors to admissions counselors; gpa/unit discrepancies, missing group numbers, and non UC transferable courses.

Utilize Banner, Slate, MyUCR administrative work tool, and other systems to assist customers via telephone, e-mail and in person. Assist with providing customer service coverage at the UGA front counter, and Highlander One Stop Shop (HOSS) as needed.

Review, evaluate and process change of major request received via MyUCR.

Serves as a backup to front line staff and students to provide clarity and resolution with Undergraduate Admissions questions or concerns. Initiates recommendations for process improvement.

Process duplicate application errors through the Common Matching process in Banner. Contacting applicants (via phone and/or email), request required documents, process changes according to procedure, make decisions as to how to process the application.

Enter and process test score information (i.e. AP, SAT, ACT, DUOLINGO, TOEFL, and IELT) in Banner and associated error lists received electronically and in paper form.

Enter and process admissions decision changes into Banner regarding re-activations, cancellations, and rescinding of applications as directed.

Assists with testing of system upgrades to ensure functionality, and identifies and reports issues as needed. May assist with updating documentation and recommending or conducting training for Undergraduate Admissions staff, HOSS staff, and student assistants.

Enter prospective student athlete information into the student information system.

Intake, log and route late application appeals to the Assistant Directors. Send late application received email to prospective student, update log with final decision and send appeal denial emails.
