Department Custom Scope
The Junior IAM Engineer reports to the Manager of Identity and Access Management and performs routine duties within established policies and procedures or by referral to the supervisor?s guidelines. These duties include developing and implementing enterprise identity and access management (IAM) architectures and solutions related to authorization, authentication, identity registry management, and identity lifecycle in campus data repositories. In addition, participating in the development of processes and procedures for identity and access management systems, utilizing DevOps processes and operations, and working with campus partners and vendors on integration with service providers.

Key Responsibilities

Description % Time
Manages systems and services for a facility or portion of facility of small to moderate size. Evaluates, installs, modifies and supports operating systems, software, utilities and/or tools. Applies and maintains moderately complex security controls.
  • Supports campus's Identity and Access Management infrastructure including but not limited to databases, directories, middleware tools, and the campus SSO environment that services to a wide range of systems.

Designs, develops, modifies, debugs and evaluates moderately complex software and scripts. Designs and applies basic data sources. Employs source code control techniques. Tests software to ensure proper operation and conformance to test plans. Assists with moderately complex release management activities.
  • Develops and implements enterprise identity and access management (IAM) architectures and solutions related to authorization, authentication, identity registry management, and identity lifecycle in campus data repositories.
