Custom Scope
Technical leader who provides guidance to all levels within the organization, utilizing specialized benefits expertise within area of responsibility to resolve highly complex issues in creative and effective ways. Internal and external contacts often pertain to significant benefit programs and objectives. Normally receives little direction on assignments. May serve in a lead capacity, providing guidance to other professionals in department.

Department Custom Scope
Under the general direction of the Workplace Health & Wellness Manager, the Wellness Program Coordinator researches, designs, develops, implements and manages wellness initiatives and programs designed to assist faculty and staff in assessing wellness services. The Wellness Program Coordinator will collaborate with University departments/units and community agencies in the development of wellness policies and trainings.

Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training. Required
Masters of Public Health or related field, and several years of progressively responsible level experience in Human Resources. Preferred

Prioritizes work assignments, conducts analysis and develops resulting recommendations.

Must determine methods and procedures on new assignments and employee benefits initiatives. Develops accommodation/return to work programs to reduce time loss due to disability.

Provides training to departments on employee benefit programs, conducts workshops, and revises/updates workshops as appropriate.

Develop and maintain tools for the purpose of measuring programmatic success. Analyze workforce data and internal organizational needs and make recommendation for new/revised wellness initiatives.

Develop and provide effective training for managers, supervisors on how to facilitate wellness strategies and programs.

Applies highly advanced benefits concepts to guide complex analyses and evaluate varied benefits programs that are of significant scope and impact to the organization.

May guide health, welfare, and/or leave of absence benefit program implementations in compliance with established guidelines, policies, and practices.
