Department Custom Scope
The Center for Social Innovation (CSI) at the University of California, Riverside seeks a Senior Researcher in mixed-method research for a variety of projects and initiatives, including work on inclusive economic development, community development, environmental sustainability, and workforce. The incumbent will work in close coordination with the research director, research staff, as well as partners that include community organizations, research centers, government agencies, private philanthropy, and news organizations. The incumbent should possess strong client-facing customer service and presentation skills and have experience in applied research or research for corporate or policy audiences. The incumbent must demonstrate excellent project management skills, possess a track record of working in and/or leading multiple streams of work, and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and serve as research lead on projects as needed. Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines are required. This is a two-year position, with renewal based on performance and the availability of additional funding.

Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training. Required
Master's degree or other terminal degree, or significant research experience, in public policy, the social sciences, or related fields. Preferred

  • Conduct and manage research and data analysis for a variety of projects and initiatives. Includes qualitative and quantitative data and research approaches on projects that involve inclusive economic development, community development, environmental sustainability, and workforce.
