Department Custom Scope
The Assistant Athletics Director of Facilities and Equipment has the overall responsibility for direct oversight of facility maintenance and management of intercollegiate athletics facilities with emphasis on safety, functionality, presentation and ensuring that intercollegiate facilities are at or above Division I expectations. In addition, will have the responsibility of the day to day oversight of the intercollegiate athletics equipment operations and the facility?s rentals. This position will operate within an atmosphere of compliance, integrity and within the scope and intent of NCAA, conference and University regulations and policy's. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining a comprehensive departmental facility safety plan to be revised annually as necessary. This role will be responsible for working with the intercollegiate compliance department on compliance related matters and paperwork surrounding facilities and equipment. This position will be working nights, weekends and holidays. |

Independently responsible for all aspects of usage, including obtaining the initial reservation request, ensuring facility availability and appropriateness, processing and certifying necessary documentation (i.e. contract and insurance), coordination with necessary campus entities (i.e. Risk Management and Facilities Services), scheduling of oversight staff, ensuring payment, budget reconciliation/ tracking, and post event assessment/ repair. | 5 |
