Generic Scope

Custom Scope

Primarily deals with programs and proposals with broad impact across the function, research initiative, program and/or organization. Develops and oversees the implementation of new programs and processes.

Department Custom Scope
Auxiliary Services comprises six (6) units, within a combined budget of over $130 million, 300+ career staff, 950+ student staff, and 2.6 million in building square feet on 160 acres. The six operations include: Auxiliary Finance and Business Operations; Campus Business Services (CBS); Early Childhood Services (ECS); Housing Services; Dining and Hospitality Services; and Transportation Services. As part of the office of the Associate Vice Chancellor for Auxiliary Services, this position involves complex analytical studies on a variety of projects, programs and issues in support of Auxiliary Services, as well as in research of new or changing systems and programs. Assists in program and project planning & management, development, implementation, training, and administration; interprets, monitors and analyzes information regarding programs and initiatives and provides strategic and operational consultative services to leadership and department administrators. Develops and implements actionable metrics for tracking and reporting quality, customer service and other key performance indicators vis-a-vis internal performance and external best practices. Acts as a steward for the University and the organization, ensures strong risk management practices at all times.

  • Internal Operations and Strategic Planning: Provides analyses across a broad spectrum of organizational and customer service optimization focused programs and initiatives encompassing complex budget, funding, financial, or operational data, systems and resource projects working directly with internal and external constituents. Conducts research on behalf of and also within the Auxiliary Services units, provides recommendations to department, division, and campus stakeholders. Develops metrics, tracking and reporting processes for key performance indicators to ensure quality and customer service against best internal and external practices.

Leads and directs a wide variety of projects and follows through with all levels of staff and individuals inside and outside the organization.
  • Leadership: Leads and directs a wide variety of projects, initiatives and programs across Auxiliary Services. Follows through with all levels of staff and individuals inside and outside the organization, develops communication, and conducts training as needed. Establishes project and program planning teams and coordinates the efforts of team members or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan, and liaises with project stakeholders to meet desired outcomes.

Develops and presents complex proposals on a broad range of issues to include problem identification, costs, benefits and options.
  • Project Planning, Implementation, and Management: Develops and coordinates policy and program-initiative communications; formulates strategies for education, implementation, and conducts training where appropriate. Creates and advocates solutions to organizational, program, and employee matters, including developing and administering new initiatives, systems, policies, processes and programs. Develops proposals and recommendations that guide and support broader short and long term strategic direction/planning endeavors for the Auxiliary Services units.
