Department Custom Scope
| Serves as the information technology expert for Recreation providing technical support, training, and strategic planning for the design and implementation of technology. Responsibilities include overall planning / management of all departmental IT functions. Infrastructure includes Windows and Mac workstations, Windows servers, and specialized video and audio systems. Application technologies include client/server and web-based technologies. Responsible for direct system support for program unit heads, administration, staff and student employees in the department as well as primary support for all Recreation program units, facilities and operations. Position exhibits technical mastery of database management, business analytics, data analysis, operating systems, technology systems and hardware. Position requires exceptional skill in leadership, interpersonal communication, project design / implementation, task management, critical thinking, problem solving, risk assessment, and innovation while staying current with new technology. Incumbent will also provide compliance assurance, user support, application management, business analysis, vendor management and IT project management to Recreation. Support includes, but is not limited to, Payment Card Industry (PCI), PC hardware repairs, PC operating systems installations and configurations, desktop / enterprise / building & facility management applications, entertainment / communications digital content systems, network connectivity, and various special projects. |
