Department Custom Scope
Under the direction of the Associate Director of the Exploration Center for Innovative Teaching and Engagement (XCITE), the Instructional Designer 1 serves focuses on supporting XCITE instructional design and faculty development efforts; performs as an academic and instructional specialist in the adaptation of emerging pedagogical strategies and educational technologies; and acts as a liaison with the larger campus community, particularly in creating online learning activities and courses aligned with best practices in student-centered, active, authentic, and connected learning experiences. In this capacity, the instructional designer will work individually and participate in cross-functional teams, to help facilitate high-impact projects and programs that align with the UCR Strategic Plan and of Academic Excellence, Access, Diversity, and Engagement. |
