Under the general supervision of the Police Lieutenant, the Policy & Accreditation Coordinator conducts research, analysis, and report development in support of UCR's initial candidacy and ongoing accreditation of the campus' Police Department through the International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators (IACLEA). The Coordinator will support the continuous processes to meet and exceed reaccreditation requirements.

Prior law enforcement policy and process development experience. Preferred

Experience in project planning and management involving critical path analysis and scheduling to coordinate and prioritize workloads. Required

Must possess or obtain a Valid CA Driver?s License in accordance with the California Department of Motor Vehicles by the date of hire and maintain throughout employment. Required

Key Responsibilities

Description % Time
Gathers and assembles analytical and factual data on assigned problems and issues to prepare reports and/or analyses summarizing information on the assigned issues and commenting on other significance for internal or external constituents.
  • In partnership with campus stakeholders, is responsible for gathering data, conducting research, and developing reports and presentations in support of the campus' Police Department?s initial candidacy and ongoing accreditation through the International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Agencies (IACLEA).

Prepares, edits and modifies documents including research reports, manuscripts, presentations and proposals.
  • Write, review, and revise department policies, procedures, and operations manuals to ensure compliance with applicable laws, changing legislation, current agency practice, and all accreditation standards.

Responsible for the oversight and coordination of the police website, social media, and data dashboards for the UCR Police Department.

Coordinates program planning and collaboration with program/project staff.
  • Train staff on accreditation-related policy implementation.
