Custom Scope
Independently oversees a comprehensive communications program for a unit or school with moderately complex communications requirements. The communications program usually includes written, visual, digital and electronic communications. Works with management to develop and execute organizational communication and market branding strategy. Designs and implements information campaigns.

Department Custom Scope
Under the general supervision of the Manager for Communication and Training, and in consultation with the Information Technology Solution (ITS) Leadership team, this position will assist in administering the strategic communication plan for ITS. Primarily, this position will plan, create, and implement communication deliverables in support of the deployment of a new campus-wide financial system, known as the Impact 23 program. Other responsibilities include the successful promotion of ITS and its services to campus through creation of effective communication materials, including marketing and informational campaigns. This position will ensure communication is effective by producing content of the highest standard, and tailoring the message and channel to meet the needs and interests of each intended audience (i.e., ITS staff, key campus stakeholders, the campus community, and external audiences). The position will contribute to activities that include change management communication planning and implementation, content and content calendar development, website maintenance, and other tasks that help ITS and its campus partners achieve the strategic communication objectives.

  • Under limited supervision, researches, writes/creates, and edits content for a variety of publications for internal and external audiences, consulting with key stakeholders and system owners as necessary. Works with departmental/project leadership to identify communication needs, as well as research and propose suitable options for improved campus awareness
