Department Custom Scope
Under the direction of the Financial Services Supervisor (FAO), the incumbent is responsible for providing financial, budgetary, analytical, and administrative programmatic support to the University Library department programs and units. The Financial Analyst develops budgetary proposals, formulates and presents data analysis, and develops management reports and recommendations for communication to management both orally and in writing. Independently performs financial and budgetary analysis by retrieving, querying, and analyzing data from various internal/external systems to produce timely, accurate, and complete reports for senior management. The Financial Analyst is responsible for ensuring financial ledger reconciliation, staffing, fiscal closing and acts as the primary. |

Financial and/or resource analysis could include budgetary analysis, financial analysis, forecasts, projections, staff or faculty salary or FTE analysis, student enrollment analysis, recharge or general rate analysis (parking rates, copier rates, capital project rates, student health charges) student fees (self-supporting programs, professional school fees, course material fees, etc.) contracts and grants analysis, endowment income, fungibility of funds, working capital, depreciation, new building funds, etc.
