Custom Scope
Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced broadcast communications professional. Researches, writes and edits materials for broadcast for a variety of factual, news and current affairs programs for broadcast. May be responsible for marketing and/or fundraising events. May be responsible for program scheduling and/or reporting.

Department Custom Scope
University Communications provides campus leadership in planning, coordinating, and implementing communications programs that foster increased awareness, understanding, and support of UC Riverside's mission, vision, accomplishments, and needs among its many internal and external constituencies. Under minimal supervision, the video production manager will shoot, edit, and create assets for high-quality video projects to be distributed via various UC Riverside channels. This position works independently to conceptualize and craft creative videos to advance UCR's brand and support the university?s strategic objectives. Please note that applicants may be required to submit a work sample as part of the selection process. Additionally, the budgeted amount for this position is up to $83,000. This position is eligible for hybrid accommodations.

  • Working either independently or as part of a team, the Video Production Manager will shoot, edit, and polish high-level video content for inspiring pride, commitment, and investment in UC Riverside.

Researches, writes, and edits material for broadcast for a variety of programming for broadcast.
  • Use Adobe Premiere CC to edit video projects from start to finish. Use a variety of techniques to clean up and improve video and audio for effect and comprehension. Help maintain digital asset organization on media server. Use Adobe After Effects and/or Premiere to create motion graphics, titles, animations, and special effects. Develop final content for UC Riverside's official YouTube channel, TikTok, Instagram, UCR.edu, or to share with campus partners.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Proficiency with the creation of video graphics in Premiere and After Effects. Required
