Department Custom Scope
Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and the UME and SA leadership, The Database Design Engineer will be responsible for laying down the foundation of all data and its architecture for all Undergraduate Medical Education (UME) and Student Affairs (SA) applications. This position will work closely with the Undergraduate Medical Education and Student Affairs departments, Office of Information Technology, and other departments to maximize the reporting for the Banner (student information system) system and other curriculum applications. The main focus is data design, data integration, and data reporting. Assesses a wide range of data requirements and applies relevant database techniques to create a robust architecture. After periodic intervals, they will also test to identify bugs or performance issues. Responsible for maintaining the database and ensuring it works smoothly without causing any disruption. |
