Department Custom Scope
The California Medicine Scholars Program (CMSP) Coordinator is responsible for providing assistance and support in implementing the California Medicine Scholars Program (CMSP) with three local community college partners: Riverside City College, College of the Desert, and San Bernardino Valley College. Coordinator is responsible for admissions recruitment and screening of applicants from local community who are interested in pursuing a medical degree. The primary responsibilities include: outreach and recruitment, admissions screening, interviewing, data collection, programming including workshop development, supporting summer placements, and overseeing the mentorship program. They will be responsible for independently reviewing applications for admission and producing reports/program evaluations as requested of the unit. The incumbent will represent UCR School of Medicine Pathway Programs at recruitment fairs, conferences, community colleges, and variety of on- and off- campus events. The incumbent will support Pathway Programs by acting as a lead who manages the application portal for the programs. Incumbent is required to travel to community college partners site, high schools, community-based organizations, and recruitment fairs. |
