Department Custom Scope
The Strategic Marketing Coordinator - Degree Completion and Professional Programs will manage the day-to-day execution of marketing efforts from concept to completion for Professional Programs and Degree Completion Programs at UCR University Extension, ensuring that marketing opportunities are optimized. Representing the Strategic Marketing Department, the Strategic Marketing Coordinator will be the primary liaison with the Enrollment Advisors and the Public Education Specialists. The key responsibility of the Strategic Marketing Coordinator - Professional Programs will be to execute the marketing tactics to grow and retain student enrollments through open enrollment, custom training, or degree completion programs.

Key Responsibilities

Description % Time
Under general supervision, plans, develops and implements basic marketing and/or sales plans, strategies and/or events for small or non-complex projects.
  • Recommends campaigns with analytics in mind, particularly reporting and optimization

Drafts and/or edits copy for marketing projects or programs such publications, advertisements, press releases, announcements, etc.
  • Reviews marketing collateral (emails, flyers, web pages, etc. to ensure information is accurate and relevant)

Conducts basic market research and/or sales and generates and uses marketing and/or sales reports.
  • Supports the development of institutional dashboards, assists with inquiry and enrollment pipeline reports, data imports and exports, utilizing data from several systems. Creates, maintains, and distributes monthly marketing reports showing achievement of metrics regarding lead generation and other KPIs.

Creates/maintains marketing files, records, calendars, logs and other related documents.
  • Learns and assists with the implementation and attribution of marketing and recruitment campaigns in Pardot and Salesforce

Coordinates advertising placements and schedules.
  • Assists in the creation of captivating media for use on social media (imagery/videos/witty copy)

Researches and secures copyright and other legal clearances for publications, products, etc. keeping senior management informed as necessary.
