Interactions require the use of tact and independent judgment, knowledge of standards and best practices, and counseling to resolve a wide range of research compliance issues. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Errors or omissions may ultimately place research participant at undo risk and/or compromise the institution's assurance of regulatory compliance with the federal government. |
Department Custom Scope
UCR's Office of Research Integrity (ORI) promotes the highest standards of research excellence and ensures compliance with federal and state regulations. The Research Compliance Analyst will be the primary contact for the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC). This position requires interaction with a variety of campus committees and departments to ensure collaboration with regards to the welfare of animals used for research purposes. The Research Compliance Analyst will perform all administrative functions of the Institutional IACUC; including but not limited to; provides administrative support to the IACUC Office Manager, Chair, and members of the IACUC; scheduling and coordinating logistics for meetings, inspections and training; timely preparation and distribution of agendas, minutes, decisions and related materials; conducts intake review of protocol submissions and follows up to ensure completeness; serves as liaison and represents the IACUC in responding to inquiries and providing information, guidance, interpretation or clarification within scope of authority; manages and maintains official and electronic records and files; coordinates workflow and processes administrative paperwork; may perform other administrative functions and related duties as required. |
