Generic Scope

Custom Scope
Under direct supervision, uses professional coaching and sports concepts and works on coaching activities of a limited scope. Follows standard practices and procedures of the sports programs.

Department Custom Scope
Under direct supervision of the Head Coach of the Baseball program, the Director of Baseball Operations - Men's Baseball (P/T) will be responsible for the teams administrative duties. The incumbent will be handling the teams travel, travel expenses and reporting. The DBO will also use professional coaching, sports concepts and work on coaching activities within a limited scope.

Represents and promotes professional conduct, university good will and high standards at all promotional and media related events including games.

May participate in fundraising activities for the program and department.

Plans travel for all road games including air, hotel, bus, food, practice times.

Is responsible to coordinate practice times at home and must organize all practice set up and clean up.

Oversees operations of team and communicates schedule to student-athletes, coaches, and other staff. this position is central hub for all communication for the program.

Manages team expense reports and in accordance with our budget and budget overseer, must abide by all UCR business standards and practices.

Analyzes performance and instructs participants in program strategies and techniques to prepare them for competition.

Evaluates student athletes' performance.

May assist in the recruitment of prospective athletes within the framework of the university, department, conference, NCAA rules.
