Department Custom Scope
Under supervision of University Advancement's CFAO , UC Riverside seeks a motivated, energetic, innovative and collaborative individual to join our team as Talent Acquisition Analyst for University Advancement. The incumbent will perform full-life cycle recruiting, including sourcing, screening, scheduling, interviewing and recommending a qualified talent pool. In addition to pro-actively sourcing key talent profiles via leading social media tools such as LinkedIn, you will use creative sourcing methods to identify high-potential talent. Working with University Advancement's, Talent Management team , this incumbent will establish a qualified and diverse candidate pipeline and will play an integral role in ensuring a positive experience for all internal and external candidates. This includes providing recruitment counsel and guidance to advancement partners and functional hiring teams regarding candidate skills/attributes, target companies, interview processes and assessment methods. This position is a 6 month contract position with a budgeted amount of up to $68,000 annually.

Key Responsibilities

Description % Time
Coordinates the logistics of the interview scheduling process. Works with hiring manager to identify interview committee, reaches out and establishes a relationship with candidates to arrange phone/in-person interviews, ensuring they understand the steps and requirements; provides candidates all the information they need to travel to and interview with UC Riverside. Provides team members necessary materials to conduct the interviews: schedule, resume, and evaluation forms.

Works in a collaborative manner with assigned business units, other areas of HR and outside recruiters/agencies on matters pertaining to staffing needs.
  • Develop strong client relationships that fosters collaboration to ensure recruiting expectations are executed in a timely manner. Provides guidance to supervisors and managers in developing job descriptions, facilitating benefits communications, and providing guidance on hiring policies, practices and procedures.

Applies professional employment and staffing techniques and concepts.
  • Maintain knowledge of all applicable federal, state, and local laws as well as internal policy and procedures related to hiring. Ensures job requisitions move from the approval process to the planning and sourcing phase of the selection process seamlessly and efficiently. Creates requisition files within agreed time-frames; creates applicant tracking log for each requisition; posts jobs with various career sites.

May source, screen, interview and recommend candidates for skilled operational and technical and professional levels.
  • Build and execute comprehensive strategic sourcing and recruiting plans that will meet hiring objectives. Develop strategies that build successful candidate pipelines. Screens applicants to identify those who meet the minimum requirements and make recommendations to hiring manager on top candidates. Coordinates and confirms candidate interview agendas. Supports development of custom interview guides and materials, schedule pre-interview briefing sessions and candidate review meetings.

Participates in employment advertising campaigns and programs.
  • Helps develop and implement creative solutions to critical Talent Acquisition challenges. Pro-actively sources key talent profiles via leading social media tools such as LinkedIn to establish qualified candidate pipelines in advance of need.

Under general supervision, provides tools and training necessary to support a decentralized employment process.
  • Provides guidance and counsel to client groups on established human resources hiring policies and procedures and campus recruiting processes and procedures.

Prioritizes work assignments, conducts analysis and helps develop resulting recommendations.
  • Responsible for data gathering, tracking, analysis and reporting of workforce and performance data utilizing various reporting and analysis tools. Stays current on employment, recruitment, and retention trends through consistent research and shares with hiring managers. Provides metrics with regards to human resources to organizational leadership and central human resources.
