Custom Scope
Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced, fundraising professional. Plans, schedules, and implements moderate-sized, comprehensive fundraising and alumni relations projects and programs, including specific fundraising programs such as annual fund, alumni relations, research, etc. May coordinate and oversee the work of support staff and/or other professionals. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Position is expected to raise gift dollar amounts as established at each fundraiser specialization. |
Department Custom Scope
Reporting directly to Asst. Dean of Development for UC Riverside's Bourns College of Engineering, the Associate Director uses professional skills and experience to plan and implement successful fundraising projects and programs in support of BCOE priorities for student support, including scholarships, fellowships, the annual Dean's Innovation Fund Match Challenge in support of student professional organizations, makerspaces, community outreach initiatives, special projects, student research experiences, etc. Works with student, alumni, and parent volunteers. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Has strong communication skills and professional ethics. The position is expected to qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward prospective donors, increase the overall number of donors to the college, and solicit leadership annual gifts in support of college priorities. Please note: all university development officers sign three-year renewable contracts which include the same employee benefits afforded career employees. The budgeted amount for this position is up to $90,000. Additionally, this position is eligible for hybrid accommodations. |
