Department Custom Scope
Under the supervision of the Director of Transfer Initiatives and Professional Development in the Marlan & Rosemary Bourns College of Engineering (BCOE), this position will be responsible for leading the engineering undergraduate research student success program, connecting students with resources for professional development, establishing relationships with faculty for future opportunities, and developing alumni connections. The incumbent will be responsible for scheduling program events, matching undergraduate students with faculty, managing student timesheets and milestones, advising student on career options, and connecting students to potential graduate degree programs. The coordinator will onboard students, process student training, and support students? preparation for conferences and symposiums. This position will be responsible for data collection and assessment of student professional development outcomes, and communicate program results with departments. Finally, this position will require knowledge of various intersecting student identities, and engineering career trajectories. **As a condition of employment, you will be required to comply with the University of California SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) Vaccination Program Policy.
